Hand Woven Cloth from the Heart of Africa

These beautiful scarves are hand woven by women in Burkina Faso.  Burkina is one of the poorest countries in the world, with one of the world's highest rates of illiteracy.  Most of the women we buy cloth from did not have the opprotunity to go to school or to learn to read or write, but they want better opprotunities for their own children and grandchildren.  When you buy these hand woven scarves you are supporting these women artists and contributing to their economic empowerment.  You are supporting them to care for their families and send their children to school.
